The Zoo
Why would anyone remember June 12, 1994? Well, that’s the day of the famous O.J. Simpson slow-speed chase. It was also the day of The Zoo’s very first live engagement and they’ve been running at high-speed ever since. For The Zoo, much has happened over the last 16 years. Their skyrocketing popularity has been highlighted by an appearance on TRL (Total Request Live) hosted by Carson Daly, as well as appearances on MTV’s Ultimate Cover Band contest, the latter of which culminated in The Zoo reaching the prize winners’ platform.
The Zoo, long a nightclub favorite, has become increasingly popular on the corporate and private event circuit. The New York Islanders have been fans of the band for years and The Zoo has not only performed for the New York Islander organization, but was even chosen to perform at the National Hockey League’s “Winter Classic” at Fenway Park in Boston.
The Zoo is a band that’s always on the go and never afraid to travel. The band has performed at destination weddings from Cape Cod to Miami and nightclubs from the deserts of Las Vegas to the ski slopes of Vermont.
The Zoo is one versatile band. This is a group that is just as comfortable performing at a posh gala as they are performing in front of a raucous beach crowd. Nobody knows how to keep a party going like front man and founding member, Randall John. He and female lead vocalist Ginger DeVito front this powerhouse of a band.

Amazing experience! We had The Zoo play our wedding in October 2021 and worked with Barbara at Omnipop. Everything was fantastic from start to finish. Barbara was on top of everything and the booking process was extremely smooth and easy. The band was absolutely phenomenal. Every guest at our wedding commented how they loved the band. They cover all genres flawlessly and a couple guests even asked me if they played a recording of the actual song for some songs because they sound that good. My wife and I met at a concert so having a great band at our wedding was very important to us, and they exceeded expectations. If you want a band for your wedding that will keep the party rockin from beginning to end then you need to book The Zoo with Barbara at Omnipop! You will not be disappointed.

"Where do I begin? My husband and I had the The Zoo Band play at our wedding this August. We knew we needed The Zoo from the start. We've seen them countless times before and know they are nothing less than AMAZING! To get The Zoo to play at our wedding we had to go through Barbara Klein. What an amazing woman.
She's sweet, professional, and quick to respond if you need her in a pinch. For a bride, she made me feel comfortable and we shared many conversations that were just pleasant. Having the zoo at our wedding was by far the best decision we have ever made!!!!! They were nothing short of amazing.....I have got so many texts and phone calls saying it was the best wedding they have ever been and that the band stole the show. The Zoo absolutely brought down the house at my wedding. Had several guests tell me it was the best band they had ever seen at a wedding. They literally got all 200 guests on the dance floor and no one left all night long! They did acoustic music during the dinner and then knew exactly when to ramp it up to transition it into a party. Their ability to play so many different genres and read the crowd quite literally made our wedding one of the best nights of our lives. I can’t thank you and them enough!!

"We originally saw The Zoo at a friend's wedding a couple of years ago. We had so much fun that night that I took their card and contacted them when I was planning my own wedding. They played my wedding last weekend and we have gotten multiple compliments from our guests--one couple is even recommending them for their daughter's upcoming wedding. The Zoo are professional, fun, and know how to keep the party going. Our dance floor was full the entire night--and by people of all ages.
They played a mix of oldies and classics (like Dion's "Runaround Sue" and Tom Petty's "American Girl") all the way up to current music (like Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" and Megan Trainor's "It's All About the Bass")--and sounded like the artist they were covering. We had so much fun with The Zoo and highly recommend them for your reception."
I just wanted to share with the WORLD what an AMAZING performance the Zoo executed for us at Bridgeview Yacht Club. First off, we were very skeptical about acquiring a band for our wedding, based on our budget, the fact that we already had a DJ, space, etc. These concerns were all alleviated as soon as I spoke to Barbara Klein, the band’s manager/representative. She quickly coordinated with the DJ and his team to ensure everyone was on the same page, and expectations were set from the very beginning.
Next, Barbara gave my wife and I the opportunity to discuss what songs we wanted played and when we wanted those particular songs to be played. The Zoo has an extensive list of songs that they already know very well, so a few additions did not cause for any concern. Barbara did a tremendous job and is certainly vital to the band’s success.
Now for the band: where to start?! Randy, Ginger and the entire band have such FANTASTIC chemistry; it feels like they have been playing together since birth! The covered every song we requested in entirety and did it in a manner that I would liken to a concert in front of thousands! They were very well-scripted, extremely sharp and did (among other things) what we wanted most out of a live band: they engaged the ENTIRE crowd from the second they started their performance! It was the wedding of our DREAMS because of the exceptional performance they put on, and we could not be happier!
